The Town of Clinton seeks an energetic professional to serve as Director of Human Services. This position oversees the planning, development and delivery of social service programs as well as leading both clinical and prevention efforts of the Youth Service Bureau. Confers with representatives of the community to develop strategies in an effort to effectively meet community needs. Directs, coordinates, develops and evaluates prevention and clinical programs based upon the needs of youth and families and low-income citizens. Provides oversight and direction to range of full time and part time positions. Responsible for budget, grant administration, compliance and monitoring.

Desired experience with municipal government, including establishing productive working relationships with school personnel, police and town agencies; developing effective working relationships with youth and their families; knowledge and experience with grant writing, administration and acquisition of funds; and strong work experience collaborating with a volunteer advisory board.

Preferred candidates have a Master Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy Counseling; six (6) years of progressively responsible experience and four (4) years of supervisory experience, or equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Licensed Master Social Worker, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist preferred. Salary $89,800 (DOQ) + benefits.
