AHM Youth & Family Services is seeking a full-time therapist with experience in the counseling of children, teens, young adults, and families.  AHM is committed to providing a supportive environment for all employees.  We take care of the administrative work so our therapists can focus on providing the highest quality care to our clients.

Schedule:        35 hours per week, 4 ½  days per week: Monday through Thursday, plus Saturday mornings (Schedule includes 2 late evenings per week until 8 pm)

Salary:            $62,000 to $70,000, based on licensure and experience.

Responsibilities:

• Provide individual, family and group counseling to children, youth, young adults, and their families, maintaining a caseload of 25 clients per week.
• Conduct initial and ongoing assessments, identify diagnoses, and maintain current treatment plans following best practices and medical necessity requirements.
• Maintain all clinical documentation to support the treatment of clients utilizing an electronic health records system.
• Collaborate with outside providers as needed to coordinate care, provide resources and make referrals.
• Participate in individual and group supervision, as well as staff meetings and gatherings.

Requirements:

• Must possess and maintain one of the following licenses from the State of Connecticut:
  • LCSW, LMSW, LMFT, LMFT-A,  LPC, LPC-A
  • Position requires a Master’s Degree in Social Work, Professional Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy.
  • A minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in master’s level counseling is preferred.
  • Candidates who are individually contracted through private and state insurance panels will receive preference.
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook is required.  Experience with Simple Practice is preferred.
