Reports to: Asst Dir of Social & Youth Services (Project Director) Status: Full-Time – 37.5 hrs/wk.
Salary Range: $40.6532/hour (Annualized: $79,273.95) Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm FLSA: Exempt Union/Non Union: Unaffiliated

Summary:
Under general supervision of the Assistant Director of Social and Youth Services (Grant Project Director) is responsible for coordination and implementation of the WeHOPE (Wethersfield Helping Others through Prevention and Education) Drug Free Communities Grant action plan and compliance with federal grant requirements.
Examples of Duties:
Collaborates with community partners and key leaders. Builds capacity of the WeHOPE Coalition and YAB (Youth Advisory Board). Coordinates monthly coalition meetings, subcommittees, trainings and events. Responsible for reporting on prevention implementation related to grant work and action plan. Works with key community leaders and coalition members on sustainability of WeHOPE. Coordinates outreach efforts, website and social media campaigns. Attends grant and prevention trainings as required by CDC. Works closely with the Project Evaluator on survey dissemination and data collection. Oversees and coordinates the Youth Diversion Team (formally known as the Juvenile Review Board) and Summer Youth Employment Program.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services, Public Health or closely related field
• Four (4) or more years of experience with grants and program management
• Possession of a State of Connecticut Motor Vehicle Operator’s License
Desired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Background in substance use prevention, strategic prevention framework, coalitions and an understanding of youth issues related to mental health/substance use and community organizing
• Experience working with at-risk youth and their families as well as populations with diverse needs
